Oikonomou: Draft Bill for Judicial Police Adopts Best Practices of Advanced Systems

ATHENS – Government spokesperson Yiannis Oikonomou commented on a draft bill for the formation of a judicial police force in a social media message posted on Twitter on Thursday, noting that this adopted the best practices of advanced judicial systems for the staffing of courts by the Greek judicial system.

“With a plan, the long-standing demands of judicial functionaries and employees are being met,” Oikonomou said.

ATHENS - Firefighting forces operated all-day Saturday to try and contain the wildfire that rekindled overnight at Skala Potamias, in Thassos island, said the Fire Brigade.
