NEW YORK – Greece’s growing popularity with tourists has now seen another airline – Norway’s Norse Atlantic Airways, a low-cost operation, adding five weekly flights from May 30-Oct. 26 in 2024, with prices as low as $249.
“This launch underscores our commitment to meeting the evolving travel needs of our passengers,” Norse Atlantic Airways’ CEO and Founder Bjorn Tore Larsen said in a statement with Travel and Leisure.
‘We believe this route will not only cater to the demand for travel to Greece but will also create opportunities for cultural exchange and business collaborations between these two vibrant destinations,” he added.
While rates are cheap from September to October, one-way fares during the summer range between $528-$1039, more expensive than some round trip flights from other airlines. The flight replaces a route that required an 18-layover at London’s Gatwick Airport.
Norse points out that the flight can also be utilized as a connection point where travelers can book separate connection flights to the Greek islands such as Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Naxos, and Milos.
The flight will operate on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which offers cabin options that include Economy and Norse Premium. Passengers can purchase extras such as additional meal services, checked luggage, advance seat assignment, and more.
