No Active Fronts at Aghia Pelagia Wildfire on Kythira

ATHENS – The Fire Brigade’s efforts to fully contain the wildfire that broke out in a forest area near Aghia Pelagia on the island of Kythira on Tuesday continued on Wednesday. Firefighting aircraft resumed operation at dawn while there were no active fronts by Wednesday morning.

Ten fire engines with 75 firefighters as crew, four teams of firefighters on foot, firefighting aircraft and helicopters took part in the operation.
