Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
NEW YORK – Plastics and other trash have accumulated at record volumes in the oceans. Ocean debris can travel around the world causing harm to aquatic life. This is your chance to make a difference and help restore the beaches of Greece.
Join the National Hellenic Student Association of North America (NHSA) this summer in Heraklion, Crete, for the Beach Clean-Up on Saturday, July 23. NHSA will also have a full weekend of events Friday, July 22-Sunday, July 24.
Registration is free for those who would like to attend the Beach Clean-Up on Saturday, July 23 and will include lunch as well as a commemorative t-shirt. Registration is open to all those who wish to join.
Registration for the entire weekend will be fully reimbursable for the first 25 North American citizens after attending all events of the weekend.

Registration includes the following:
Hotel: Two nights stay in Heraklion- rooms are for two people. Those rooming alone will need to pay half the room cost about 80€.
Food: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast/lunch/dinner, Sunday breakfast/lunch
Beach Clean-Up
Excursions: Wine Tasting, Olive Oil Tasting, Honey Tasting
Free Time: Explore Heraklion’s museum and ancient sites
Transportation: Discounted or free transportation from Athens to Heraklion. Local transportation from the hotel will be provided.
