New Quake Measuring 4.5 on Richter Scale Felt on Crete

ATHENS – Yet another quake, this time measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale, shook the south of Crete on Monday at 14:48. The epicentre of the earthquake is estimated to be in the sea, 77 km south of Arvi in the Viannos municipality, at a focal depth of 15.1 km. It is believed to be linked to the seismic sequence of the past few weeks, following a 6.0 Richter earthquake in the same region on May 2.
