New Board of Trustees Appointed for Hellenic College – Holy Cross School of Theology

BOSTON – A new Board of Trustees has been appointed at Hellenic College – Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA, a suburb of Boston, chaired by Archbishop Elpidophoros of America,

Fr. Mark Leondis, the presiding priest of the Saint Mark parish in Boca Raton, Florida, has been appointed as Vice-Chair. It is noted that Fr. Leondis was the chair of the committee responsible for finding a new president for the School, which selected Dr. Demetrios Katos. Fr. Leondis also happens to be a ‘koumparos’ of Dr. Katos.

It should be noted that there is a precedent from the tenure of former Archbishop of America Demetrios, during which Thomas Lelon, a koumparos of then-School president Fr. Christopher Metropoulos, was appointed Vice-Chair of the Board.
