Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
UPPER DARBY, PA – The new academic year began for St. Demetrios Greek School in Upper Darby, PA, on September 12 with a blessing by the parish’s presiding priest Fr. Alexandros Kaitidis.
St. Demetrios Church was filled with beloved students, old and new, who shared their enthusiasm and positivity with each other. Fr. Kaitidis and the School Board welcomed students, parents, and grandparents and wished everyone a happy new school year. A special welcome was given to the newly added Pre-K class as well as the new teachers Gesthimani Sazakoglou, Maria Apostolidou, and Marianthi Hareras.
The students successful in passing the Ellinomathia Exams 202 Levels Α1, Α2, Β1, Β2 were acknowledged and congratulated. All children were escorted to their classrooms to meet their teachers and reconnect with their friends.
A big welcome back treat awaited everyone on behalf of the St. Demetrios School PTA in the community’s small hall.
