Neophytou Meets With Israel President

A meeting in Israel on Jan. 10 between the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign and European Affairs Averof Neophytou and the President of Israel Reuven Rivlin was the occasion for the discussion of the further strengthening of cooperation between Cyprus and Israel.
According to an official press release, Neophytou was received by the President of Israel in the framework of his visit to Israel at the invitation of the Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Comittee Tzachi Hanegbi.
“During their meeting, they both stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation between Cyprus and Israel for the stability in the sensitive region of the Eastern Mediterranean as both countries share the same democratic values,” CNA reported.
