Further proof that you can find a Greek restaurant just about anywhere in the world, including the desert, the Mythos Urban Greek Eatery has just opened a second destination in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. It is decorated to resemble a Cycladic island to go along with its reputation for having some of the most authentic Greek food in the city, in the popular shopping neighborhood City Walk, said What’s On.
You can forget the heat and sand because it also features a cozy outdoor garden terrace surrounded by greenery and olive trees, pottery, handwoven rattan chairs, and bi-folding windows to reflect a Grecian vibe, the report said.
Chef Ilias does the cooking and he knows how to dish up the Greek specialties too, and the menu showcases his skill at cooking them with a wide range of fare that brings Greek tastes.
That includes mezedes and sharing starters such as fava dip, feta in filo, fish marinato, spanakopita, cheese saganaki with tomato marmalade, fried calamari, and jumbo prawn saganaki. The main courses include lamb chops with Greek yogurt and fries, octopus stifado and seafood youvetsi.
