Museum of Cycladic Art Teams with SGS for COVID Disinfection Certification of Procedures

ATHENS – With a sense of responsibility towards the public and the employees, the Museum of Cycladic Art (MCA) collaborated with the company SGS for inspections, certifications and controls for the implementation of a program that validates the efficiency and correct implementation of all cleaning and disinfection procedures (including COVID-19). The SGS Disinfection Monitored service is particularly applicable to organizations with activity related to gatherings of large numbers of people. MCA implemented the program in all its spaces (exhibitions, offices, educational spaces, Cycladic Shop, Cycladic Café, entrances, etc.) to ensure its smooth and safe operation, receiving the required special mark of SGS.

According to Eugenia Christodoulakou, MCA Executive Director, "in these difficult times, the Disinfection Monitored service of SGS enables us to ensure the safety of our visitors, customers, and employees, as we validate efficiently and accurately all the cleaning and disinfection procedures we apply. All our spaces are now certified, providing security to those who visit us, starting from the children who attend our programs to the companies that choose us for their events. We are very grateful to SGS for this service that enables us to continue our work and activity smoothly."

According to Alexandros Michael, CEO of SGS Greece, “in the face of an unprecedented pandemic, our goal is to make people feel safe. At SGS, we utilize 150 years of know-how and reliability and develop a package of services designed to help organizations cope with the highly demanding new conditions, safely and efficiently. We are very happy for the cooperation with the Museum of Cycladic Art, and we are convinced that ensuring the right procedures will contribute to the safe operation of the Museum."

The SGS Disinfection Monitored service checks the completeness of all cleaning and disinfection procedures and verifies their correct application by taking samples from the surfaces that have been cleaned and disinfected. Upon successful completion of the process, the special mark validated by the program is awarded, enhancing the sense of security of both employees and the public.

SGS is the largest inspection, supervision, verification, laboratory analysis and certification company worldwide, with a presence in more than 150 countries with 2,600 offices and laboratories and a staff of over 94,000 employees.
