Movement for Change Submits Amendment for Ceiling on Energy Retail Prices

ATHENS – Movement for Change party will submit an amendment on Thursday for the imposition of a ceiling on the retail price of energy.

The amendment, which is in the process of collecting signatures, stipulates that by imposing the ceiling, “citizens will not have to pay more than 10% of what they paid before the energy crisis began (1/5/2021).”

According to the Movement for Change, with its amendment, power outages in households and businesses will be prohibited when they are charged more than the ceiling of 10%, while citizens will have the opportunity to pay for the debts that have accumulated from electricity bills since 1/5/2021 in 240 doses.
