Mitsotakis Raises Turkey’s Latest Unilateral Action in Phone Call with Charles Michel

ATHENS — Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday spoke on the telephone with European Council President Charles Michel, as announced earlier.

During their discussion, Mitsotakis briefed the head of the European Council about the latest illegal Turkish Navtex for hydrocarbon exploration south of the Greek island of Kastellorizo.

He told Michel that he intends to raise the matter of this latest unilateral action by Turkey at the European Council of October 15-16, noting that this was a serious escalation of tension by the Turkish side.
