Mitsotakis Policy Will Be Defeated in the Next Elections, SYRIZA’s Iliopoulos Says

ATHENS – “Mitsotakis’ (Kyriakos, Prime Minister) policy will be defeated in the next elections,” SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance spokesperson Nassos Iliopoulos stated on Monday speaking to SKAI TV.

He claimed that the most crucial poll is that this moment the majority of the people does not have enough money and unfortunately this situation does not seem to change soon, added Iliopoulos quoting IMF’s recent estimates that high inflation is not a temporary phenomenon.

“The government continues to follow a policy which not only does not address the problems, but it multiplies them” referring to the example of the skyrocketing in the fuel prices and the government’s refusal to reduce the special tax on fuel.

Referring to the foreign policy, he spoke of a “scared prime minister” noting that the Turkish fighterjets flew 2.5 miles away from Alexandroupolis adding that “Kyriakos Mitsotakis has not claimed any kind of sanctions against Turkey.”
