Mitsotakis Meets with KRG Prime Minister Barzani

ATHENS — The prospects for cooperation, especially in the economic and cultural sectors, were discussed at a meeting on Friday between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Masoud Barzani, who is visiting Athens for the first time.

During the meeting at the Maximos Μansion, they discussed the readiness for specific steps that will lead to the full exploitation of all possibilities.

They also exhanged views on a number of issues of common interest that concern the region and they both ascertained that security and stability in the wider area are a shared goal, which requires respect for the rules of international law and good neighbourliness.
