ATHENS – The government’s priority is the signing of a bilateral agreement with Australia to avoid double taxation, as well as the prospect of further deepening bilateral economic relations and promoting investments on both sides, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Thursday during his meeting at the Maximos Mansion with the president and a delegation of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne.
The prime minister referred extensively to the Greek state’s relations with Greek expatriates, referring particularly to the new consular and digital services provided to the Greeks of the diaspora for faster and more efficient services and to overcome chronic bureaucratic dysfunctionalities, with the implementation of the ‘Register of Citizens’, the video call system ‘My ConsuLive’, and the ‘Virtual Assistant’ application.
