Mitsotakis Invites Prince Charles to Greece for Bicentennial Event

February 11, 2021

ATHENS – Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke with the heir apparent to the British throne Prince Charles on Thursday.

The Greek Premier reportedly invited Prince Charles to attend the Greek Independence Day (March 25) commemorative events, which this year mark the bicentennial of the 1821 Greek War of Independence. Prince Charles responded positively to the invitation, but said it would largely depend on the course of the coronavirus pandemic at that time.

Prince Charles also referred to the work of the Prince's Trust International in Greece.
