ATHENS — Greece is entering the global landscape of technology and innovation, asserted Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis while addressing the event of the official launch of 'Elevate Greece', a digital platform for start-ups which includes a National Register of Start-Ups, held in Athens on Tuesday.

He further stated that his government has "done a lot to support this new innovation ecosystem (…) and to reduce overall labor costs," and he referred to the abolition of the Special Solidarity Contribution tax for 2021 and the launch of the reduction of employers' contributions as "two important steps forward," while a lot remains to be done still.
