Mitsotakis Arriving in Portugal on Sunday, Meeting PM Costa on Monday

ATHENS — Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is scheduled to arrive in Portugal on Sunday for a meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa on Monday in Lisbon. The meeting will be held in the context of Portugal taking over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first half of 2021.

The prime minister's programme is as follows:

At 12:45, Mitsotakis and Costa will visit the central building of the Portuguese Navy, which also houses its coast guard headquarters.

The next stop will be the headquartersof the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).

At 14:25, the Greek premier will visit the Sao Bento Mansion, the official seat of the Portuguese prime minister, for talks with Costa, followed by a joint press conference.



ATHENS - "The extension of New Democracy's (ND) stay in power harms the country at a diplomatic and foreign policy level," stated main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance sector-head for foreign policy, George Katrougalos, after his meeting with Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Friday.
