Michael Dukakis Throws the Ceremonial First Pitch in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA – Former Governor of Massachusetts and U.S. presidential candidate Michael Dukakis threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Worcester Red Sox against Syracuse Mets minor league baseball game at Polar Park in Worcester on June 2. He was accompanied by Gregory Stamos and Nick Tsiotos.

Dukakis is well-known as a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox in the major leagues and the WooSox, as they are affectionately known, are Boston’s Triple-A Affiliate.

The WooSox lost to the Mets 8-4 on June 2, but will face them again in three more games this weekend June 3-5.
