Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
JEFFERSONVILLE, PA – On September 16-17, His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey visited the St. Sophia, Ss. Faith, Hope and Agape Greek Orthodox Church in Jeffersonville to preside over the Hierarchical Vespers and Divine Liturgy in celebration of the Feast Day of the community.
During the services, His Eminence was joined by the clergy from the surrounding communities of the Delaware Valley Region. Metropolitan Apostolos took the opportunity to welcome to the parish the recently assigned Rev. Hieromonk Symeon Williams, who recently began his service to the parish in June. His Eminence asked the community to embrace their new pastor and work together with Fr. Symeon for the growth of the ministries, most especially the youth ministry of the parish.
Following the services the community offered a celebratory reception and luncheon in honor of Metropolitan Apostolos’ visit to the parish as well as the Feast Day of their patron saints.
