Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – The head of the General Directorate of Political National Defence and International Relations (GDNDPIR) of the Ministry of National Defence, Dr. Konstantinos Balomenos, had a meeting with the ambassador of Israel Noam Katz, GDNDPIR announced on Tuesday.
“The main axis of the discussion was the analysis of the current situation in Greece, as well as the examination of the security environment in the wider region of the Southeast Mediterranean, as it is being shaped after the latest geopolitical developments from the war in Ukraine,” the announcement said.
The two sides described the level of Greek-Israeli cooperation as excellent, while ways of strengthening bilateral defence relations between the two countries were explored.
Finally, it was emphasised that the strong diplomatic, military and economic axis between Greece and Israel is a pillar of stability and security in the wider Mediterranean region.
