NEW YORK – Greece in USA, the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce (HACC), and the Friends of Ecogenia Ambassador group host an evening of conversation, art, and wine on Thursday, September 26, 6 PM, at The Opening Gallery, 42 Walker Street in New York City to ‘Meet Ecogenia’ and learn about how they’re building a climate corps for Greece.

Ecogenia is in New York City for Climate Week and this event will spotlight the power of mobilizing youth for climate action. Ecogenia was accepted as one of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2024 cohort of Commitment Makers.

Attendees will hear from the Ecogenia team and Ambassadors, and learn about how to get involved. As a bonus, the work of internationally-renowned French artist ORLAN, is also on view for her solo exhibition featured at Opening Gallery in partnership with NYU Maison Française.

Event highlights include meeting Ecogenia, discovering how they are empowering young people in Greece to lead the charge on climate action through civic service – and most importantly, how you can get involved. You will hear directly from Ecogenia founding team member and EU Climate Pact Ambassador, Melina Dunham.

Networking: Meet and mingle with fellow Greek-Americans, climate action advocates, and supporters of youth service initiatives in Greece.
