Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
NEW YORK – Mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa won a decisive victory in the Republican primary on June 22 over businessman Fernando Mateo. Endorsed by billionaire John Catsimatidis and Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, Sliwa won with 72 percent of the vote.
He was congratulated by the Manhattan GOP via email statement from Chairwoman Andrea Catsimatidis. The Manhattan GOP statement read in part:
“We congratulate Curtis Sliwa on his hard-fought race to be the Republican candidate for Mayor. This election is critical for New York City and it’s imperative that we have a strong leader in Gracie Mansion who will be tough on crime, save small business, and restore quality of life. This all starts with making our streets safe again which is something Curtis has been doing in our city for over 30 years. We need his expertise!”
