Malliotakis Delivers 500 Pounds of Food to Bay Ridge Community Development Center

BROOKLYN, NY – Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) on May 9 delivered 500 pounds of food to the Bay Ridge Community Development Center (BRCDC) as part of a donation she facilitated from Goya Foods to benefit more than two dozen food pantries across Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn.

“Today I delivered 500 pounds of food to the Bay Ridge Community Development Center as part of my efforts to support local food pantries and families as food prices continue to rise,” said Congresswoman Malliotakis. “I’m proud to join the BRCDC in working to fight food insecurity in Brooklyn and improving the quality of life for those in our community.”

“I want to thank Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis for supporting the Brooklyn community and the BRCDC by facilitating this donation from Goya Foods,” said Bibi Esahack, BRCDC Executive Director. “It’s important to recognize that New York City is still experiencing food insecurity and we all must do our part to help those who are struggling.”
