Machine Operator Helping Firefighters Dies After Accident in Central Greece

AMFISSA — A 70-year-old operator of a heavy machine died in the General Hospital of Amfissa, Central Greece, on Monday following an accident as he was helping firefighters put out a blaze in the area.

The vehicle dropped 30 meters into a ravine at Eratini, location Rentzou, for unknown reasons. The man, who was a resident of Amigdalia in Dorida, was transported unconscious to the hospital around 15:30, where his death was confirmed.
