Loumidis Foods Named Title Sponsor and Brand Ambassador for the MDR

LYNDHURST, NJ – Loumidis Foods announced on March 6 that it has been named the 2022 Title Sponsor and MDR Brand Ambassador for the Mediterranean Diet Roundtable (MDR). The MDR is a thought leadership series designed to inform, inspire, and promote the appreciation of ingredients and food practices distinctive of the Mediterranean cuisine, translating the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet into commercial opportunities in the United States.

Loumidis Foods has established an Ambassador Portfolio, featuring six of the most iconic brands in Greece with products which aim to illustrate the complete Mediterranean Diet meal. The companies include Palirria SA, Olympus Dairy, Agrino, Papadopoulos, Ioniki Filosophy, and Misko. As the title sponsor of the MDR for 2022, Loumidis Foods will feature products from these companies in a year-long marketing calendar of events throughout the United States, positioned to present to buyers for U.S. retail and U.S. universities.

During the first event of the calendar during the MDR Connect Winter edition, Loumidis Foods has established plans to place products from their portfolio within a major U.S. university and is engaged in advanced talks with a second major university as well as a U.S. Club Store, fulfilling their mission in the promotion of premium Greek products.

About the MDR

The MDR is playing a key role in repositioning the Mediterranean Diet as a competitive driving force to shape the current offering in high volume commercial and non-commercial food services, as well as retailers and restaurants. Our influential programs celebrate the health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet and lifestyle, translating them into commercial opportunities. In addition to the conferences and other exclusive gatherings, such as the Ambassadors’ Breakfast in Washington, DC, the MDR offers counseling in creating culinary experiences, cultural programs, and e-commerce. Recognized by UNESCO (2010) as a Global Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Mediterranean Diet is valued internationally for its unique synergy of nature, culture, and health. The MDR is the only event of its kind and is a signature of Accent PR. Additional information is available online: https://mdrproject.com/.
