Cyprus Airways’ liquidators have been appointed. Avgoustinos Papathomas and David Dunckley will wind down the affairs and distribute the assets of the airline.
The meetings of shareholders and creditors of the company were scenes for the announcement of the appointments.
The Government of the Republic of Cyprus, by virtue of being the largest shareholder of the Cyprus Airway, nonminated the liquidators. The government owns 93 percent of the of the share capital and is the largest creditor of the airline.
