ATHENS – Envolve Entrepreneurship, one of Libra Group’s social programs established to support Greek entrepreneurs, celebrated its 10th anniversary on June 8. The annual award ceremony honored amazing innovators who are positioned to shape the future of Greece’s ecosystem, from innovative applications that support the transition to electric vehicles, to elderly caregiver support programs, and many more.
Libra Group Chairman George Logothetis spoke at the event and shared the impetus for the social program, learnings on leadership, and the importance of tenacity through adversity. He said of the founding of the program that “philanthropy in its truest, most ancient form is giving without expecting to get. We tried to do what we felt was our duty, try to lead from the front.”
Ten years later, Logothetis said, “here we are, a new era for Greece and Greeks, a new era of hope, opportunity, after so many years of difficulty and pain.”
“From great hardship can emerge great genius, just look at history- innovation is born from adversity,” he noted.
