The weekly articles titled Historical Observations, written by Stavros Stavridis, are superb. The knowledge that many Greek-Americans really have of Greece is limited to the country’s food and beaches. The articles by Stavridis provide an excellent way of learning a great deal about the important – and fascinating – ideas and personalities that have shaped modern Greek history. Everybody should read them.
