Letter to Editor

Letter to the Editor: Herald’s Important Historical Articles

To the Editor:

Your newspaper is vitally important as it covers Hellenic history to which our children otherwise never be exposed. For example, “The 75th Anniversary of Zakynthos’ Miracle” by John Ackerman (Sept. 15) elucidated the heroic and selfless actions of Archbishop Damaskinos of Athens and the Greek people, who at great personal risk hid Greek Jews from the Nazis during WWll.

Had it not been for your paper, our 13 year-old-son may never have come across  this compelling and quintessentially human story.

Thank you for publishing pieces of great historical and spiritual import.

To the Editor: Finally, the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis legislated the way in which Greek citizens residing outside the country will be able to exercise their constitutional duty and right, to vote from their place of residence, by postal vote.
