SERRES – The Serres-based dairy company KriKri is expanding its activities in the United States, beginning its journey in the supermarkets of Texas, with Greek Frozen Yogurt as its vehicle.
According to a related announcement, the launch of KriKri Frozen Yogurt in the U.S. comes after the company’s very successful participation in both the International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA) exhibition in Houston, TX, in June and at Newtopia in Denver, CO, in August. In both of these events, KriKri received particularly positive feedback for its products.
The company is making its entry into the U.S. with a product range that includes a variety of flavors and packaging.
“The key characteristics of Greek Frozen Yogurt are authenticity, enjoyment, and wellness. The Greek dairy industry combines its extensive expertise in yogurt and ice cream categories to produce the delightful KriKri Greek Frozen Yogurt. Additionally, the fact that its production involves the use of authentic Greek yogurt further enhances the uniqueness of the product. It is worth mentioning that this particular category has received positive comments not only for its recipes but also for its comprehensive and enjoyable range of various flavors and packaging. Finally, KriKri Greek Frozen Yogurt represents a healthier indulgence compared to traditional ice cream, containing live yogurt cultures that are particularly beneficial for digestive health,” the announcement noted.
Greek yogurt has experienced enormous success in the U.S. market over the past decade, exceeding a value of $3 billion, representing a significant growth opportunity for KriKri.
KriKri is the only company worldwide that uses its own authentic Greek strained yogurt in the production of Greek Frozen Yogurt, thus strengthening its competitive advantage.
KriKri’s Export Manager, Andreas Mylonas, commented: “We are particularly excited to introduce KriKri’s authentic Greek Frozen Yogurt to the U.S. market. Our entry into the USA marks a significant milestone for our company, and we believe that our product will win the hearts of American consumers. KriKri Greek Frozen Yogurt combines tradition with innovation, while its high quality, authenticity, and unique taste are the comparative advantages that open up new avenues for growth.”
