Koutsoumbas: Amendments Tabled by KKE Bring Real Relief to the People

November 25, 2020

ATHENS — "In the current difficult conditions, the amendments tabled by the parliamentary group of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) provide real relief for the people," stated KKE leader Dimitris Koutsoumbas on Wednesday.

"The government, instead of continuously introducing new packages to rescue the profits of business groups, should immediately support all those impacted by the pandemic and the economic crisis," Koutsoumbas said.

He noted this support should include a one-off 600-euro benefit to all registered unemployed and self-employed entitled to unemployment benefit, payment of the full amount of Christmas bonuses to all furloughed employees included in the programme "Syn-ergasia" and restoring the 13th and 14th salaries and pensions for workers and pensioners.
