Kosmos Shares ‘Karpouzi’ Cocktail Recipe with TNH

WALPOLE, MA – Kosmos is an intimate, modern Greek restaurant offering an ever-evolving menu by Executive Chef Angelos Petropulos and inspired by family recipes, sophisticated cocktails infused with unique Greek ingredients, a comprehensive Greek wine, beer and spirits list, and traditional Greek desserts. Angelos and Stavros Petropulos’ latest endeavor, Kosmos offers a whimsical ambiance, adorned with Hellenic elements and decor, as well as a seasonal outdoor patio.

General Manager Stavros Petropulos shared the following recipe for Kosmos’ ‘Karpouzi’ [watermelon] cocktail with The National Herald. This refreshing cocktail blends the bitterness of Aperol with the sweet, juicy flavor of watermelon and the sharp tang of lime, creating a perfect summer drink.

Karpouzi

Ingredients:

1.5 oz gin

1 oz Aperol

2 oz fresh watermelon juice

0.5 oz fresh lime juice

Ice

Watermelon slice and lime wheel for garnish

Instructions:

Prepare Watermelon Juice: Blend fresh watermelon and strain to obtain juice.

Mix Cocktail: In a shaker, combine gin, Aperol, watermelon juice, and lime juice. Add ice and shake well until chilled.

Serve: Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of watermelon and a lime wheel.

Kosmos, located at 944 Main Street in Walpole, is open Tuesday-Thursday 4-10 PM, Friday 4-11 PM, Saturday 12 Noon-11 PM, and Sunday 12 Noon-10 PM.
