KKE Leader Koutsoumbas: The Pupils’ Demands Are Right and We Are on Their Side

ATHENS — Communist Party of Greece (KKE) leader Dimitris Koutsoumbas on Thursday said "the pupils are right and we all are on their side. The teachers, their parents support their just claims".

"There are solutions now. What is the government unable to understand?" said Koutsoumbas, adding that the pupils want fewer people in each classroom, for more classrooms to be found, the hiring of teachers, who are too few, and the hiring of additional school cleaners.

"These are justifiable demands and we are with them," stated Koutsoumbas regarding the high school student protests.


ATHENS - "This year tourism proved that is Greece's "heavy industry" and can not only support the national economy but also offer a substantial support in very difficult conditions" Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias stated among others in an interview with Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Sunday.
