KKE: Gov’t Fully Responsible for Failure to Arrest Former Golden Dawn Lawmaker Pappas

October 23, 2020

ATHENS — The government is fully responsible for the non arrest of convicted member and second-in-command of the nazi organisation Golden Dawn, Christos Pappas. The government's excuses, served up with a generous helping of ridiculous epithets, only act to increase its embarrassment," said the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) on Friday.

"Once again it is proved that the bourgeois state is very effective when it comes to the arrest of 14-year-old pupils, or in repressing the struggles of the working classes, the people and younger generations, but is at the same time 'incapable' when it comes to the arrest of a convicted nazi criminal. It is also proved that the entire surveillance and monitoring mechanism set up under all previous governments is not about imposing the rule of law in general but is primarily turned against the people and their struggles".
