KKE Blames Greek Government for “Explosive Situation” in Lesbos

September 11, 2020

ATHENS — For the third day in a row, thousands of refugees and migrants in Lesvos remain on the streets and responsibility for this lies with the government and the hypocritical attitude of the EU, which led things to the current impasse, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) stated in its comment on Friday "on the explosive situation in Lesvos".

The only possible response to the current explosive situation and to the xenophobic, racist hatred is to translate into action the universal popular demand for the transfer of refugees and migrants from the islands, refuse the construction of new closed or open facilities, and recognise their right to apply for asylum in the destination countries," KKE underlined.
