KINAL’s Loverdos Briefed by Greek FM Dendias

January 18, 2021

ATHENS — The extension of Greece's maritime zones to 12 nautical miles was discussed among others at Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias' meeting with the representative of opposition Movement for Change (KINAL) Andreas Loverdos on Monday, in the context of Dendias' round of briefings of the parliamentary parties on the current foreign affairs issues.

"We come to the foreign ministry to discuss with the minister with the country's interests as the exclusive guideline and criterion," noted Loverdos after the meeting.

"In this context we discussed the proclamation of our sovereignty up to 12 nautical miles. We asked why Crete is not already included and we were reassured that it will be," Loverdos concluded.
