Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – Canadian Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism Annie Koutrakis, who is of Greek descent, had a meeting in Athens on Friday with Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni, where she referred to the possibility of establishing an office of the Canadian Tourism Organisation “Destination Canada” in Athens. During the meeting, a tourism ministry announcement said, the two ministers exchanged views on the promotion of tourism between Greece and Canada and the development of bilateral cooperation in other sectors.
They agreed that the conditions exist for the growth of tourism flows on both sides and that this will be further assisted by the signing of an MOU between the two countries, as well as the direct air link throughout the year in the context of the promotion of sustainable tourism.
