Karamanlis: There Will Be No Hikes in Road Tolls

ATHENS – "There will be no hikes in road tolls because there is simply no reason for it and would not help either in the promotion of tourism or other activities of the Greek economy," stated Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis on Wednesday.

In an interview with the ERT public radio, he referred to air transport, adding that the government is determined to protect the sector that offers so much to the Greek economy. He also underlined that a huge effort is currently underway and Wednesday is a very improtant day because the European Commission's decision on air transport is to be unveiled.
