Israeli FM Lapid: Greece an Important Ally of Israel

ATHENS – Visiting Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, who was in Athens on Tuesday for a trilateral meeting with his Greek and Cypriot counterparts, underlined that Greece is an important ally of Israel in a post on Twitter. Lapid tweeted after a bilateral meeting with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.

“As part of my diplomatic visit to Greece, I met with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias. We discussed cooperation between our countries, with an emphasis on security, commerce, and energy. Minister Nikos Dendias and I agreed that we will continue to develop and strengthen this cooperation for the benefit of Israel, Greece, and the region as a whole,” Lapid said.

ATHENS - It’s not back, but the old PASOK party veterans who dominate a new party after a merger with the former Movement for Change have now brought back the Green Sun logo the Socialists had used since being founded in 1974 by the late former premier Andreas Papandreou.
