ATHENS — The Attica Security police on Monday announced the launch of an investigation into the death of a missing 32-year-old Chinese man, who was abandoned unconscious outside the private Errikos Dynan hospital in Athens in the early hours of Sunday morning. He was rushed to the hospital's emergency ward and shortly afterward pronounced dead.

The 32-year-old Chinese national had gone missing from the centre of Athens and was being sought through an amber alert between July 12-16, at which time the notification was withdrawn.

The police have asked for a coroner's examination to determine the cause of death and are carrying out an inquiry into the case.
