In Minnesota’s Twin Cities, The Naughty Greek Gives Way to Spicy Feta

MINNEAPOLIS – In the Minneapolis-St. Paul Twin Cities, the Greek eatery The Naughty Greek had advertised itself has having the best gyros this side of Athens but owner Angelo Giovanis said he’s selling his restaurants to reopen as Spicy Feta.

In a social media post, Giovanis said, “Over the course of the last 7 years, I have had the joy watching The Naughty Greek grow and flourish. It has been such an honor being able to bring a taste of Greece to the Twin Cities!”

Giovanis opened the first Naughty Greek in 2016 in St. Paul, offering Greek and Mediterranean dishes like salads, chicken shawarma and fries, as well as gyros and was such a hit it expanded to other locations.

Spicy Feta will continue to sell Mediterranean food, said the Minneapolis Star-Tribune but it will be halal and offer a modern twist on the cuisine with doner fries and wraps, Greek bowls with salad, and more.

“We can’t wait for you to indulge!” a note on the door says. It has ties to the St. Louis Park restaurant Ariana Kabob & Gyro Bistro, featuring Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine.
