Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund HRADF on Wednesday launched an international tender for the exploitation of a part of the former US military base of Gournes in Heraklion, Crete.
The asset covers a coastal area of 345,567 sq.m. located 13 km from the Heraklion airport, 20 km from the new international airport, which is anticipated to be developed at the Kastelli Village over the next five years, and 16 km from the city of Heraklion. In land plots adjacent to the property, the facilities of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, the Cretaquarium Thalassocosmos, the International Exhibition and Conference Centre of Crete, the Hersonissos City Hall and schools have been developed over the past 20 years.
With this request for proposals, the Fund is seeking to receive binding offers from Interested Parties. After reviewing this Request for Proposal, Interested Parties are invited to participate in the Tender Process, by submitting their Offer pursuant to the terms of this Request for Proposal. The Fund will review the Offers and evaluate them on the basis of the terms and conditions set out in this Request for Proposal.
Potamitis Vekris Law Firm will act as legal advisor, Decathlon SA and Cerved Property Services SA as technical advisors, while Eurobank SA and Cerved Property Services SA will act as financial advisors.
