ATHENS – Hotel occupancy rates reached 90% in Mykonos in September, the same as in July and August, with arrivals expected to exceed 2019 levels, Andreas Ferentinos, head of New Democracy party tourism sector and former president of Mykonos hoteliers said on Tuesday.

Ferentinos said that arrivals in Mykonos airport totaled 677,000 so far, from 750,000 in 2019, with around 1,000 flights pending until the completion of this year’s season in October 31, 2022. Arrivals in Mykonos port totaled 493,895 passengers until the end of August.

ATHENS - Greece is on a path to bust tourist records for arrivals and spendings - during the waning COVID-19 pandemic - but is reaching out, especially to the super-rich, to keep on coming all year long.
