I recently ran across your article on Greek-American mayors.
I believe my father, George C. Eliades, was the first foreign born Greek-American (Smyrna) to be mayor of a large city here in the USA: Lowell, Massachusetts (population 100,000 at the time), 1950.If any of your readers know of an earlier instance would they kindly contact me.
