Holy Light to Arrive in Athens on Saturday Afternoon

ATHENS – The Holy Light will arrive from Jerusalem to Athens on Holy Saturday afternoon, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Constantinos Vlassis.

“I want to reiterate that after coordinated actions of the Foreign Ministry and Aegean Airlines’ support, the Holy Light will be brought from Jerusalem to Athens on Holy Saturday afternoon”.

“It is noted that the in the context of the measures against the spread of the pandemic, the Holy Light will not be transferred to the parishes or be distributed to the faithful but it will be kept at the Church of Agioi Anargyroi (Metochi of the Holy Sepulcher) in Athens”, the minister said.
