Greek-American James A. Koshivos, 21, Killed after Car Plunged into Ocean
FALMOUTH, MA – The police in Falmouth have identified the victim in an accident involving a car plunging into the ocean on February 20, NBC10 Boston reported.
WHITESTONE, NY – The basketball teams from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Whitestone celebrated another successful season in the Greek Orthodox Basketball League (GOBL), winning the most championships this season with three for the Holy Cross Whitestone Black JB (Junior Boys American Division), Holy Cross Whitestone Gold B3 (Boys 3 American Division), and Holy Cross Whitestone Gold B2 (Boys 2 American West Division).
The teams were impressive in their respective divisions, finishing the season with win-loss records for the Black JB at 12-2, Gold B3 8-1, and Gold B2 6-1.
The players, coaches, and presiding priest of the community Fr. George Anastasiou posed for a commemorative photo following the Divine Liturgy on March 26. Fr. Anastasiou congratulated all the players and coaches as family, friends, and all the parishioners wished them the best for future successes.
