Holy Cross Celebration and Blessing of the Waters at Asbury Park, NJ (Photos)

ASBURY PARK, NJ – The Metropolis of New Jersey celebrated the Holy Cross with the 74th blessing of the waters at Asbury Park which followed the Divine Liturgy at St. George Greek Orthodox Church with His Grace Bishop Apostolos of Medeia presiding along with Reverend Protopresbyter Andrew Eugenis, Chancellor of the Metropolis of New Jersey Fr. Christoforos Oikonomidis, and Deacon Philotheos.

The blessing took place at Asbury Park 5th Avenue Beach immediately following the Divine Liturgy with high school juniors and seniors from local communities diving for the cross.
