ASTORIA – Hermes AHEPA Chapter 186 in Astoria held its annual cutting of the Vasilopita (the Greek New Year’s bread) on February 1 at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Reverend Father Demetrios Balidis was present to bless the cutting. The chapter was also honored to have two of their brothers, John Kokolakis (Past Chapter President and Treasurer) and Pat Gravino, host a presentation entitled “The Buy-Sell Agreement and Funding Considerations.”

He is the current President of the Astoria/LIC Kiwanis Club, Past President of the Queens Columbian Lawyers Association, Past President of the LIC Lawyers Club, and a board member of the United Civic Community Association and the Astoria Homeowners Association. Kokolakis earned his undergraduate degree from Queens College and his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in all the State Courts of New York, as well as the Federal District Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is also admitted to the Connecticut bar. He has been involved with AHEPA for numerous years and served the Hermes chapter with distinction.
