NEW YORK – The Pancyprian Association of America, a longtime community and cultural fixture, is investing in a plan to build a new state-of-the-art theater in Astoria – the first of its kind in decades. The effort continues for the rezoning needed to begin the project. The New York City Council hearing on the 46th Street project which will include the Nikos Mouyiaris Theater, takes place on Tuesday, January 14, 10 AM, in the Council Chambers at City Hall in downtown Manhattan.
Pancyprian Association President Philip Christopher invited all to attend the New York City Council hearing on the rezoning. Christopher noted that this final hearing is critical for the rezoning effort and it would be great for as many as possible to attend and perhaps register to speak in favor of the rezoning to show New York City Council Member Costa Constantinides that the community supports this effort.
For those unable to attend, but who would still like to voice their support for the project, contact the Council Member’s office by phone: 718-274-4500 or email: [email protected]
